Singer museum overdag (40x35cm) olieverf op doek
Tot en met dit weekend zijn drie werken van mij te zien in het Singer Museum in Laren. Ter gelegenheid daarvan heb ik twee schilderijen gemaakt in het museum: één op maandagavond tijdens de opening van de expositie, en één overdag, de zaterdag daarvoor.
Het licht was totaal verschillend. Overdag kwam er koel licht van buiten, dat concurreerde met het warme kunstlicht binnen.
’s Avonds was het donker en werd het glas een groot donker vlak. Het kunstlicht was nu de enige lichtbron, en tegen de donkere achtergrond lichtten de lampen en de mensen op.
Until this weekend, three of my works are on display at the Singer Museum in Laren. For the occasion, I created two paintings at the museum: one on Monday evening during the exhibition opening, and one during the day, the previous Saturday.
The light was completely different. During the day, cool light came from outside, competing with the warm artificial light inside.
In the evening, it was dark, and the glass became a large, dark surface. The artificial light was now the only source of light, and the lamps and people shone against the dark background.
